Product overview

Maximum protection for the long haul The Mafate 5 is built for ultra distance: a tall, protective platform that keeps your legs fresh deep into a long day on trail. It favours comfort and protection over ground feel and speed, which is exactly the point. Roomy for a HOKA, with a wider and more accommodating forefoot than the Mafate Speed 4. The upper is comfortable with a well-cushioned heel cup that avoided blisters over long efforts, and there is enough lace range to cinch a secure midfoot. Because the fit is generous, narrow feet may slide, and the tall stack can tip laterally on genuinely technical ground. Best for: Ultra distance, long trail days, run-hike efforts Sizing: True to size Fit: Roomy for a HOKA; standard width only
